The Unspoken Wishes of Strangers

Aesop is an international soup company based in Melbourne, Australia. The assignment was to create a new headquarters near the central business district of Adelaide – in Kent Town, Australia. Despite its global scope, Aēsop projects a small scale, refined aesthetic, and one that is attuned to the individual, or at least a select ‘tribe’. On the chosen site is a huge misplaced hardware shop called “Bunnings”. By demolishing it, a campus-like headquarters replaces the hardware shop. With this proposal, the site opens up and creates a place for the public – a social hub. A tacked and clustered design in a circular arrangement creates a unique design for this neighborhood and is with flexible office spaces perfect as a working environment for Aesop and other tenants.
